Selby engineering and Lifting Safety offer a wide range of products and services, which come into two main industrial categories of equipment. These are Lifting Equipment / Materials Handling and Height Safety Equipment (mainly fall arrest and rescue).

Our Online Catalogue / Shop

www.liftingsafety.co.uk is our online sales catalogue, dedicated to lifting and height safety equipment. Our aims and objectives when developing this web site were:

• To make sure that our web site is user friendly - we believe our site is one the most user friendly web sites online, giving easy navigation throughout the the catalogue
• Offer an extensive catalogue of items - We aim to cater mainly to the end user who is looking for a quality solution rather that a cheap inferior quality product, though still requires a choice of products from many manufacturers. Rather than being forced to look at many web sites we aim to give the end user a one stop lifting and height safety shop.

The SELS lifting equipment shop is a comprehensive catalogue of products for many of Europe's leading lifting equipment manufacturers. Through multiple choice 'picture links' you will be able to make easily identify your lifting solution. You will then be able to buy the item online or request a quotation. We encourage customers to contact us for a quote or to seek our advise.

Height safety Equipment Shop

As with our lifting shop our height safety shop offers fall protection items from quality manufactures, at the right price. We try to discount the price on items where it is possible to do so, our theory is if we are fair, our customer will return.
Navigation is simple again by offering multiple choice with pictures and descriptions.

Site Installation Services

Our site installation team are certified installers of the leading height safety systems from the likes of Tractel, Soll, Miller and Sperian (formerly Bacou Dalloz) etc. Covering all aspects of Height Safety, Fall Prevention, Rescue from Height Restraint and Arrest, Edge Protection, Ladder Safety Systems, Anchor / Anchorage Points etc.

Lifting equipment installations include lifting beams and runway lifting beams, overhead cranes (mainly push pull cranes) and swing jib cranes. (including a wide variety of davit arms) basically we have the experience to tackle most lifting equipment installations.

In-House Design to customers Specification

SELS provide a design specification for bespoke, one-off applications of lifting equipment. From a site visit, measuring up, providing drawings, through to manufacture, installation, testing and certification, an end to end service tailored to suit your specific requirements.

Workshop Services

We offer repair and servicing of all types of lifting and height safety gear, for example hand chain hoists and electric chain hoists and fall arrest inertia reels. For many products our engineers have been trained and certified to carry out this work by the equipment manufacturer. All repaired and serviced items are thoroughly examined by a competent engineer and returned to the customer fully certified. We have testing facilities to carry out load tests up to 100 tonne though can out source outer testing through our network of contact with-in the trade.

Our engineers are professionals! They are well presented, clean, work in a tidy and orderly way adhering to customers site rules and always work to our customers safety codes of site practice. On every occasion when working on customers premises our engineers will present for approval, a risk assessment and method statement.
